ISC INTER-WING BOWLING COMPETITION APRIL 2026
Indian Social Club Oman Hosts Annual Inter-Wing Bowling Competition Muscat: Indian Social Club Oman (ISC) successfully conducted its Annual Inter-Wing Bowling Competition, bringing together 15 linguistic wings in a celebration of sport and community spirit. The event witnessed an impressive participation of 32 teams comprising 192 participants, and notably also featured a team fielded by the Embassy of India in the Sultanate of Oman. A distinctive highlight of the competition was its inclusive team format: every team was mandatorily required to include a child player and a lady player. This thoughtful requirement reinforced the event’s family-oriented character and created a genial, welcoming atmosphere that was enjoyed by participants and supporters alike. After a grueling three hours of bowling, the Kutchi Wing emerged as the standout performer, securing both the top two positions. Kutchi Wing’s team “Super Bowlers” clinched the championship (No. 1 position), while their team “Fire Bowls” finished as runners-up (No. 2 position). The third position was bagged by the Goan Wing team “Cool Goans.” In the individual awards, Shane from the Goan Wing won the Best Child Player award, Anita Mehta from the Rajasthan Wing won the Best Female Player award, and Anees from the Urdu Wing won the Best Male Player award. The competition was conducted in an efficient and well-organized manner under the leadership of ISC Hon. Sports Secretary Mr. Manoj Ranade, and under the able guidance of ISC Hon. Chairman Mr. Suhail Khan and Hon. General Secretary Mr. Shakeel KM. The seamless coordination and spirited participation ensured a fun-filled family evening, with attendees praising the ISC team and expressing keen eagerness to take part in future events. The Indian Social Club Oman is gaining momentum under the new leadership and boasts of an event calendar which promises to have one or more exciting activities every month. Being an apex body for the larger Indian community in Oman, apart from sports events, ISC also organizes cultural as well as entertainment events, apart from assisting with community welfare activities on a need basis.
